We always ensure that our staff are taken care of on site and in the office for whatever work we conduct to maintain a high standard. We promote a communal environment and encourage everyone to constantly look out for one another to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment. We recognize that a healthy body and healthy mind are Necessary in order to create the best workplace environment..Therefore, we always encourage our staff to take nature walks, take part in sporting activities in their local communities and having walks near our sites during breaks. We also have various safeguards against potential harms which may be caused by the materials, equipment and machinery which exist on project sites.
We continually strive to improve our health and safety standards by attempting to eliminate all possible incidents on our project sites. Alongside our dedication to continuous improvement, we set practical and realistic health and safety goals and compliance measures with always a guaranteed modern safety standard.
In this respect, we are highly committed to our objective of zero harm and achieve this by locating the hazards and risks involved in our daily operations. Whenever we locate a potential risk we swiftly eliminate them by establishing robust arrangements for the management and on site crews. Environmental and Sustainability Policy
Our industry has an inevitable impact on the environment in a number of ways and Baltic Group wish to minimise the potentially harmful effects of such activity whenever and wherever possible. We are committed to continuous improvements in environmental and sustainability performance and the prevention of pollution.
Baltic Group are taking several vital steps to make a difference, and these include:
Promote recycling and the use of recycled materials.
Minimise waste in all operations. Material quantities ordered for projects are carefully managed so as to avoid excessive waste.
Reduce the quantity of environmentally harmful materials used or eliminate them completely where sustainable alternatives are available.
Transportation - through coordinating route planning we can reduce fuel consumption and lower fuel emissions.
Dispose of waste paint materials in a safe manner. All waste paints and solvents will be returned to head office for safe disposal by registered waste/hazardous waste disposal company.
Awareness - Communicate policies to all employees and sub-contract staff. Our policies including Quality, H & S, as well as Environmental and Sustainability Policies during their initial company induction. We also provide updated training on a regular basis.
