Project Details

Pharmaceutical research firm APC Ltd, a UCD spin out company, recently opened its new process research facility in Cherrywood in Dublin. The 6,000 sq m facility will also serve as the company’s headquarters. The four-year-old firm helps drug companies to convert molecules developed in the lab into finished products ready for manufacturing, and currently employs over 60 people at its offices in Cherrywood Business Park. Its clients include 8 of the top 10 pharmaceutical companies and five of the top 10 biotech firms in the world.

Our Involvement

The complex designs required independent floating featured ceilings and bulkheads. The canteen/dining areas required recessed partitions and dry-lining to facilitate the clients displaying needs/requirements.

Many different high spec. coatings were used including intumescent clear coating to feature timber panels, anti-microbial coatings to lab areas, special sealer coating to all the concrete soffits and floor coating.

For the level of different design elements, small, restricted areas which required painting and a lot of different types and mostly dark colours used throughout the building needed highly qualified painters to carry out the works.
